E30 Zone

Zoners,

This might have been done before, but I thought I would start it again anyways!

Anyone spotted an E30 in a film or music video which has made them jump in excitement?

I come from the Hip Hop generation so I grew up admiring alot of rappers and part of that was watching gangster films, etc..anyways, here's my two spots, both of which make me a very proud E30 owner

1) "Menace II Society" (black cab); you can see this at the beggining when Caine and his cousin get shot..

2) Luniz- "I Got 5 On It" music video (mauritus blue cab with cream interior); this is also at the beggining of the video- a small clip of the E30 rolling up

the one in eastenders lol

Lol, on i spotted the other day was a red (cheap as chromie...by the looks of it) in prision break at the end of season 2. Last episode i think.... one of the guys gets hit by it in a chase! Sorry cant actually remember more, but the brains numb this week!

Nicole Kiddman has a white 2dr 325i in Days of thunder.

In only fools and horses, Cassandra (Rodneys wife) is driving her dads silver 2dr 323i when they first meet.

Goldey Hawn drives a royal blue 325i convertible in Bird on a wire with Mel Gibson.

I saw this also, but it showed a white one on the flashbacks in the flashbacks in the car wash

Just remembered another.

In the 1987 film "The Firm" staring Gary Oldman as the head of the ICC football hooligan firm.

His mate has an A reg 2dr black 320i which gets torched by a rival firm. The actuall car that gets torched is a black E21 made to look like the E30 with A reg number plates and a set of bottletops.

I guess the E30 was to expensive to burn in '87!

Other cool 80's cars in that film were a white mk1 Golf GTi cabrio, a mercury grey Sierra XR4x4 and a rosso red mk4 Escort XR3i

the singing scene in White Chicks is filmed INSIDE an e30, but when they pull up their in an e46. . . not sure the reason for not filming it inside an e46 but you can defiinatly tell their in an e30. . .

I watched Zoolander with some mates the other week and there is an e30 in the film.

There were a couple of e30's in a scrapyard in an episode of Spooks the otherday. Pretty tragic that I noticed this

Skunk anansie video "weak as i am" at the start of the vid is an e30 dont know which one though

You can also see it later in the film as the drivers brains get blown across the dash and windscreen when he gets jacked for it.

There was a Sport Evo in Scrapheap Challenge in 2003.....

Watched Old Skool again the other night, there are two that jumped off the screen to me. Mitch, one of the main characters drives what looks like a fairly low specced jobby but its debadged, shabby looking red paint 4 door and bottle tops. Thought it might be a 320. There is another (black) I think, parked outside a cafe on campus near the end, but its too far away to tell anything more!

In '97 mine was featured in "Looking after Jo Jo, set in Edinburgh in the early eighties about the drug problem at the time. It was filmed near Stevenson College.

It took all day to shoot the 20 odd seconds that mine was on camera. It was very profitable - £175 per day plus free breakfast and lunch

There was a 6 series in it as well and he had 6 days worth of filming, lucky b***

Don't suppose you can do me a copy of it as I had it on tape and lost it when my matrimonial circumstances suddenly changed.

yep, it was filmed mainly in sighthill iirc a mere petrol bombs throw away from my old stomping ground wester hailes.
