My latest steed....

Ive not had much time since I got my latest car and I also got a new camera last week so I thought I'd share :)

I like to have a runaround for work/tip runs and general light workhorse to carry bikes etc. My previous runaround was a E30 318 touring in white and it was scabby but it never let me down in my 2/3 yr ownership, i like the space for allsorts

I was on the hunt and I found this back in August......

Its a 316i Touring Lux, not much luxury though, 1993 on a L plate, 4 owners and just clicked over 100k and it runs fantastic. Its got full history and has been well looked after for most of its life and it will be looked after in my care till I decide to scrap/sell it

Not the best performance engine nor will it pull you out of bed but it does the job.......just.

These are not the original wheels, they should be the 15" BBS but they were swapped over before I bought it. So I'm on the lookout for another set of 15's so it can look original, anyone have a set to sell/swop for my 14's :?:

I'm sorry to be a post whore

nice original example.

A late touring does make a lot of sense

Clean example. If its a runnabout is it worth bothering to get 15" BBS?

I'd like a touring one day. Definately get one if i ever need a car with space... even if it were only temporary! liek for travelling or whatever.

But seems quite nice tbh. A lot of the baby 4 pots seem to be kept in damn good nick. Thankfully they dont attract the wrong type of owners and then make good shells for engine conversions and projects :D

Another clean example added to Zone..

I'd like the 15's to fill the arches as well, there's nothing wrong with the 14's and its not a problem if it takes me a year to find a good set of 15's.

The baby 4 pot is great on fuel too, I got to Anglesey and back on half a tank, had some admiring looks too 8)

Tourings are excellent, perfect for lugging stuff about but they don't feel like big heavy cars. :thumb:

Nice car. Late E30 Tourings are usually tidy but this seems like a particularly nicely run-in example form the from the pix.

I wonder if you'd need to keep the cat on a 24v conversion....
