Half decent rattle can paint

HI...

I need to tidy a couple of holes left by an MTECH kit in the bottom of some lachs silver wings. The job doesnt have to be great as they are going on the race car so its only getting a rattle can job but I'm wondering who make a decent colour match etc...

Halfords maybe ?

Also do you think I need clear coat as well ?

TIA

Richard

The best match is BMW, about £6 a can (depending on colour) from the OEM link at the top of the forum 8)

you will need a clear coat for silver.

if the match doesnt have to be perfect, you can get a good finish with halfords stuff, and it's what i'd use as it's cheap and easy to get hold of.

bmw pain t may well be better quality, and a closer colour match, but costs a lot more.

luckily silver doesnt really fade, so there's a chance a new out of the can formula mix might be pretty close to your cars paint. i know the halfords vw diamond silver rattlecans were a spot on match on the other halfs e-reg diamond silver mk2 golf.

On the off chance I get to a halfords this weekend I might pick up a tin, if not I'll certainly order an OEM one monday if they are only £6

Cheers..

That would be dandy... And I think I can justify the trip given its sligtly less that the circuit I just did of the M25 to pick up body pannels !

I'll PM/Call you.

Thanks.
