I'll start it off:

E30 320i SE 4 door in white...
No log book, nor tax or MOT!
Headgasket had gone.
Hardly any rust.
Interior was clean.
Broke the bonnet handle within 30 seconds of owning it lol!

£50 8O

AND...having an E30 given to you or you being paid to take an E30 doesn't count!

The first was a green on green 316 c reg,
The second was the touring i'm in now. Although in o/e form.

And the 2 tone tech 2 origanly I paid 50 notes. most of the kit was missing, the interior was fubar'd and the dash was wrecked. But it did sport some o/e alpina wheel's a couple of months mot and the engine was good. winkeye

Well the gutting thing was that ALL the Hartge's were buckled!

But i managed to claw back the money by breaking it.

The funny thing was, i sold the beige comfort leather for £100, tidy but in need of a clean to someone on here (no names mentioned) and he cleaned it up and tried to knock it out for £300 the joker!

I didn't see it sell from the two ad's at different times he had on here!

Got a fairly mint 316i with a weeks mot and tax for 40 notes a couple of years ago. The front wing were gone at the bottom and the floor plugs at the back were scunnered but rest was sound. It is now sitting stripped out waiting on the right engine to turn up and it's getting a roll cage over the winter. No rust anywhere else which was fairly tempting for a re shell for my 325i as i had most of floor and back arches lying on the work shop floor in the form of rust at the time :)

My 1st E30 , £300 years MOt and tax. 2 door 318i with bottle tops in Alpine White. I did 20,000 miles in it. Failed the next MOT so gave it to a mechanic and he stripped it out and reaced it for a year or so.

My 320i was about £600.

1990 320i SE 4 door Auto. Minor electical problems (back passenger side window doesn't work, sunroof jammed, and the electrics have a mind of their own, maybe first ever AI made...well done BMW) it had 2 little rust holes under the windscreen/bonnet. 54k genuine on the clock, 14" BBS and pretty much perfect nick, very clean...

£500. Good buy for me.

The first E30 I owned was a very early 318 (on a Y plate) that was £50 with tax and test but with a dodgy rad and a duff dizzy.

Fixed, used for a bit, then passed on to a friend for cost...

My 325 cost £750 with 12mths MoT, but no tax, around 4 years ago...known history and high spec

My M3 cost £3900 with 8mths MoT, no tax also about 4 years ago...It isn't (and wasn't) perfect, but is largely rot-free and has a fairly meagre mileage...Belonged to a customer of my (BMW mechanic) mate.

Bought the 320 Touring from an acquaintance who was having issues selling it for £210 without any tax or test and a flat battery...spent £200 ish on a tyre, clutch slave cylinder and a few niggly bits and it has just passed it's second test with me...Only needed a brake pipe and a headlight adjuster to do so...This is probably the best (cheap) bargain of the E30s as there is virtually no rust on the car
