storing car over winter..

read a few posts on here..i bought a cheap trickle charger which doesnt seem to work..so is it a good idea to remove battery negative lead ?

or just leave it be and recharge next year?

If you remove neg/pos battery lead it shouldn't be a problem. Also you may want to remove your alloys/wheels as leaving it stood could cause flat spots. Hope this helps.

Also,I would say bung one of these in your car to keep it dry and avoid any moisture build up and resulting mould.

anyway back to the top

make sure tyres are pumped up properly, left in gear instead of using handbrake, poss use a cover but make sure its breathable or it will be all green underneith

if its only stored for 6 month i would just leave the battery and jump start it when you put it back on the road, might not be the best way to make the battery prolong its life tho
