Well when I bought my E30 it looked something like this

Different colour reds :(

14 " Alloys

Well I came on here and the first person to answer my enquiry was Simon13 regarding a brake upgrade.

Well you know what its like you go from one thing to another and along the way anything I needed help with this forum has been a hive of information and everyone willing share to there knowledge.

So after changing the interior, doing the bodywork, respraying have the engine rebuilt and many other bits and pieces I worked it out in my ownership of the car I spent beteen £6.5 + 7K.

Not the most ever spent I know as I think I read the other day a guy had spent £40K on his... respect but you will never see that again.

Anyway when mine was finished it looked a bit like this

My aim when was restoring this car to keep its classic looks and not make it look chavey, even though I moved away from the standard alloys I didnt want to go with the Borbet A's which everone else seems to buy I wanted something different. But, had to be easy clean hence I picked up the Keskin KT4s and theyve been well commented upon.

Ive owned a lot of cars, some very fast Evo 6, TVR Tuscan, M5s etc but I can honestly say this has been the most well balanced car and Ive loved driving it and was sad watching it drive off.

Theres a few guys on here who have helped me more and sold me bits for my car so thanks

Theres obviously a load more of you who will have answered my threads so thanks to you as well.

A message to you all safe motoring and keep these great cars going

Also dont forget 4 doors are better than 2 and as I have proved they sell for the same good money !! :)

Whats next:- Well when the M5 goes my next classic will be a Jaguar E Type S1 FHC 3.8 a total change but these were the fastest sports car in there day and they look so elegant I just cant wait to get it but the only people veiwing my M5 are timewasters -so amnoying :x

Congrats on selling your car, out of curiosity was buyer off here or pistonheads, autotrader or local???

My 4 door is presently having Mtech2 kit fitted, colour coded, shadowline trim, and thorough machine polish. Then sport seats front and rear, rear head-rests, 3.73 LSD, and refurbed 15" BBS cross-spokes.
When money provides looking for bilstein/ lowered susp & exhaust (anyone help??)
Then look forward to a good drive :D

hope you get back into bmw's soon but enjoy the E-type project. steveH
