hi,

i have seen a few pictures of E30's with the deep dish BBS r's on them. They look really good.

Does anyone know what sort of widths they come in at front and rear and what sizes will look good without rubbing?

Are there any retailers in the UK as i have searched with no success.

Cheers

Didn't know BBS made a BBS R.

Did know they made a BBS RS or BBS R-90s though they are for the new mini, but also in 4x100 fitament.

Do you know which ones you mean, doubt you'll find a retailer of new RSs though not only was production finished along time ago (most e30s are nigh on 20 years old), but BBS shut down a couple years ago iirc.

Widths of BBS RS' are customisable based on the dish fitted.

Are you sure they've shut down? They still produce items for formula 1.

I think Super_ted may mean the reps that people are putting on off ebay.

Most of the reps won't have a particularly deep dish, where as genuine one's will

You may want to have a look here, and contact Wokke to see if he has any sets going at the moment, but be warned, they won't be cheap.

SINT-MARTENS-LATEM, Belgium-Punch International N.V., a diversified industrial holding company, has taken over BBS Group, the German custom alloy wheel maker, which was declared bankrupt in May 2007.

So do they still produce items for the public or are they only doing motorsport/F1 stuff now?

They seemed like pioneers of the industry, and made god-like wheels...such a shame if they've packed it in.

They still produce wheels for the public, but nothing for anything older than an e36 in current productio, though new mini wheels may fit an e30 as I said because they are 4x100.

However nothing like having your wheels stamped with "West Germany"! Proper old school.

Also they do not manufacture anything close to the basket waeve pattern anymore, and they arn't made in the old BBS factory anymore, some arn't even made in Germany anymore.

Essentially you won't get 'new' period style BBS wheels unless they are a copy, hence the prices of originals have sky rocketed.

schmidt are a rebranded compomotive, made in the midlands.

the th-line is a compmotive th splitrim, they used to make the th one piece (recently rereleased as the th-mono) the th2 which spoked out the solid centre of the th, a bit like the integrale evo stock rims.

the modernline is a revolution rfx

only avaliable in seected widths, offsets and finishes, and priced at a 'premium' level for specific markets.

very cool though :D

Think a set of 9J upfront and 10J rears would look pretty good on my touring...you can get them without the Radinox Rim for alot less, but they'd be pretty cool...
