how do i fold my roof

Just tried to put the roof down on my car, got the front bit up after releasing the catches, pulled the back window up and lifted up roof stowage bit. When i fold the roof in, it will not go all the way in, it sticks out over the seats.

After you have all stoped laughing at my stupidity can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I did not want to force it as I have a habit of breaking things.

many thanks

Have you pulled the lever in the back passenger door panel?
Im not 100% on how you work them myself as ive never had dealings with a cab but do know there is a lever to be pulled

Yes pulled the lever, that released the roof stowage compartment cover.

In the position it is in now there is a bar you need to lift up and toward the rear of the car at the front of the roof which will then drop it down past the rear headrests. I struggled for a while to work that out when I first got mine. :)

You should be able just to place the roof into the horseshoe. When doing that make sure the rear screen is not scrunching up and is just folding comfortably. Also the straps will stick out slightly once the roof is down you just need to tuck them in and close the horseshoe.

To save the rear window, get your self a 3 or 4" cardboard tube for the window to fold around.

I had the same problem....when you have dropped the rear part into the hole and are folding the front down, you have to fold the bit with the straps in the opposite way - really difficult to explain but there is a guide on the rear of your drivers side sun visor......

You're not on your own!....I had exactly the same trouble when I first got my cab and it took me a couple of days to sort out what was wrong....as stated, you just need to make sure that the front bit of the roof folds back on itself towards the rear of the car, tuck the straps in and all is well.....Crikey, you're right....it is kinda hard to explain!

Same here , if the elastic are shafted it's a tricky bugger to work out.
