am thinking this is going to be 13k+ going by the price of the one with 93.5k on it! (£7450) 8O

prices are well compared to the usual ebay/autotrader junk, but only going to be getting real enthusiast or collectors wanting to pay that much (if anyone) so will probably be for sale for a while :o:

I really like the look of this one: http://www.wlnautomotive.co.uk/popup.cf ... p_i=461174

I'm not really a cabrio kind of guy, but I reckon that looks really smart and looks a lot more upmarket not having the boot spoiler.

Erm....the 8,600 miler is up at £15,950. Andy told me he'd had 2 offers @£15k, but was holding out for full asking price. winkeye

I had that car down as being worth £15k myself.

Unless it owes him more than £15k I dont see why you wouldn't accept it. Credit crunch and all that....

Mind you its potentially a good car to have up for sale and probably helps justify the price of some of the other cars they have.

Haha true true. But if that WLN has only done 8.5k. That would be some collectors piece. I wouldn't drive it and just garage, start every now and then but only drive it occassionally coz i'd want to keep that milage low as. but the other, well you could just drive it round like any other car knowing that its just a great condition example.

Is it Sterling silver? Looks like lachs to me, isn't sterling a lighter shade. Ignore me if sports only came in sterling, I'm not that up on such things

I might actually get me a new pair from the stealers as mine are in a right state and are the only thing letting the interior down :(

Good idea Oakey. It's little things like that which can make all the difference.
I ordered a new electric window breaker switch as the white marking had faded. I was told there's none in the UK inc the Fatherland and so have to wait...

I think this thread has got totally confused...

The thread is about the J reg Sterling Silver car with 93k, not the Granite 8600 mile car.

Brett, is this your car?

I reckon classic car dealers' pricing is quite 'fluid', if someone is interested quickly, it owes them less so the price they'll accept is probably considerably less than the asking. I'm reminded of an old Alan Clark column where he stated that when confronted with 'POA' or 'Offers', prudence suggests asking something gentle like 'how do you value it?' to get the ball rolling before firmly registering an interest. If you're a 'high maintenance' customer, the price goes up with every kick of the tyres. If you like a laugh, have a flick through the retail ads in the back of Classic and Sports Car, prices of TR6s and Pagoda Mercs are particularly erratic.

Wasn't there a bloke on here recently who bought a sub 100k Sport from WLN for about two thirds the asking as he got in quickly so the car had yet to be fully valeted etc. Quick cash keeps the books cooking.
