Anyone off here? Had an incident with an unmarked car too, flashing lights and a stare, but didn't pull either car over, is this a good sign? or bad sign? Been getting a lot of good comments saying it was probably his way of warning me and slowing me, however i'm still very paranoid that I was caught by a gun/camera or video in his car etc etc and i'm going to get a shock via the post...

Hope you're right, been told so far its a good thing, probably just a friendly warning as if to say "slow down you idiots". The bmw was an e30 i believe, with pressed german style number plate, H reg? The copper on the other hand was in an Audi i think.

From what I've been told an unmarked car can't pull you.

You can get pulled by an unmarked car, round this way they have grey evo's

i've been pulled by one, don't think the cooper had ever been asked so many questions about his car...and no they don't let him take it home

It was the steep down then up entering canterbury after brenley corner roundabout. around 11:30pm. We were being a bit dodgy, going a fair whack but didn't get pulled. Like I say I hope this is a good thing

NIP (notice of intention of prosecution-this applies to speed cameras too) you have 14 days in which to recieve anything saying your getting a ticket etc. I shouldnt worry about it too much but be concious of who might be around in future. As has been said, if they wanted you for anything you would have probably been stopped. You live in the canterbury area then? Going to ashford meet?

Yes I am with a bit of luck on my side with my rota at work! So i have a nervous 14 days ahead now, but i'm quietly confident (everyones giving me hope) that nothing will happen. The guy got me to stop speeding and scared me a bit so that may have been enough!

My best mate is a traffic cop. He said if they were going to do you, you would have been pulled there and then and not to worry. You cant really be done retrospectively unless by fixed camera. Very often Cops will give a flash of the blues to slow you down if they cant be arsed to pull you and deal with the paperwork and the offence is not too serious, or if they are on their way to something more important. Like a murder or donut break..
He reckons due to the time and lack of traffic they could probably see you were speeding but not taking the mick and just thought they'd give you a bit of a wake up. He followed a car doing nearly 90 on a deserted M54 late last week and just illuminated the top box part so they slowed down as they were indicating and being reasonably sensible. Oh, and you CAN most definately be pulled by an unmarked car. Hope this helps.
