Most early cars were brown glass as I believe they were std for UK cars. Certainly was for the 6 pot cars and may have been for the 4 pot as well.
Green glass was an option for all models.

Infomation provided by my local stealer does say that the brown glass was an option, i'm confused

Brown glass was standard on all UK chrome turds. Green glass was an extra cost option and standard on cars with factory aircon. Brown glass is very council and low rent, so much so that back in the days of chrome i would often change all the dirty bronze wrongness to nice green tint rightness !

IIRC for the UK market certain items that were options in other markets were std here eg NS door mirror. It didn't need to be as it was still legal with OS and interior mirror present.
Maybe good ole andyboy can tell us on the glass front.......... ah well pacerpete has done it.
I prefer brown glass

Green glass
