Woman and E30s - Doh!

Looking for a bit of advice here:
I have a cracking 325i Motorsport Cab bought a few months ago after I got bored of watching my E46 depreciate in the driveway.
Anyway problem is, her indoors isn't too pleased about the swap and girns anytime she has to use the car. How can I persuade her it's a sexy classic not an old heap of sh!+e as she puts it?

Make her walk or take the e30, she will soon warm to it

Explain the depreciation in terms of shoes or handbags. Or stop being sexist and give her back some luxury in other areas

you might have trouble there doing anything car wise and making the woman happy just don't seem to happen as they are a funny bread

My girlfriend loves my upgrade from e36 to e30, I had some troubles when I first told her ("Not another bloody bmw, you haven't even sold the other one" etc) but the moment she saw it, it was all good. She was quite happy to take it to Europe last week rather than her 54 plate Corsa with A/C etc. I am on to a winner, only difficulty is she doesn't like me treating it badly.

i got hold of a bright red 318iS and was well happy but she wasnt. it got sold. i have had 3 cars in about 4/5 months trying to please us both in this desperate search for a car we can both like.
now i have a white mk1 mx5. it seems to be working at the moment but the winter is on its way and i can see her not enjoying it so much.
i think im going to just stick it up her arse if she says she doesnt like it anymore

i have paid toooooooo much messing about with insurance etc. still got a polo in my garage doing nothing.

My better half actually likes my motor (325i touring) and much prefers it to the modern crap-looking models.. and has so far, been completely supportive of the few mods I've done and the ones I have planned.. I must have got lucky
And to top it off.. we're gonna find a Mini between us (_real_ one.. not the fake BMW ones) to do up as a project as that's really "her car" (her last one was written off after hitting a diesel spillage

). And yup, she wants to get her hands dirty too.. not just sit around and wait for me to do the work
Regards,
Ian

My missus grew to love my cabby, to the point she didn't want to see it go. She hated it at first.
Just get her to drive it a few times. Is she a car person?

Mine likes the E30 so much I ended up looking down the road out of the passenger window on one particularly slippy bend... she got it back though

this will be a cheap cabby when you try to sell it in the winter ! if she hates it now she will when frost pays a visit

there's nothing worse than a cab as a daily driver in winter start looking for a 2n'd car or buy a hardtop

my wifes first car was my Mk1 sport, she loved it but she does not like the cab, its too slow off roundabouts she says but i have little arguement as its a cab auto 320,
she now has a big yank tank and complains that only half fits in the garage (where my cab waits out the summer months) but i remind her of how much hassle it was for her carrying my new roof back from UK, so it musat stay under cover.
if yer bird dont like E30's then get er binned!

Can't she just have her own car? My missus thinks E30's are old square crap as well, but then we have our own cars so she never has to drive it.
I think she would like a motorsport cab with full Mtec kit though

She does actually have her own car, as I gave her my company car as the daily driver/familymobile. Doesn't stop the whining though

Typical woman - never happy unless they're complaining about something. Keep the E30 - if you sell it she'll only find something else to moan about.
I don't let my Mrs drive my E30.....same as she doesn't let me drive her Renault Laguna.......oh I'm so gutted

Tell her you'll sell it, but you'll need a new hobby to fill the void it leaves. Suggest you could take up sucking c0ck for crack!

My other half Mrs Zimmer, who doesn't have a license yet, used to think cars were a means of getting from A to B until I showed her my E34 went to Europe on the Scumball, Unfortunately I have had to selle the car recently so at some point we will be back in an E34 or maybe a tuned up E30 Touring once funds allow again.

my better half must have lost a reletive in the war because she is dead set against any thing german and unfortunately this includes my E30 which she refers to as "that off white peice of scrap iron" the problem is she has bought a 1.8 toyota avensis and takes offence when i refer to it as "jap crap" (apologies if the term jap offends any fellow zoners) but at least the rubber_ducklings love the E30

my gf is dangous in a e30 my old one 316i she went sideways on gravel (1st time she had driven it) snapped the fan belt lock up the brakes going down a hill now i won't let her drive my 320i but she has a vauxhall astra 1.7 dti (which she says is quick enough for her) as her daily and family hack i agree with rubber_duck if the jap's didn't want it then why do we get there scrap

my missus has an e36 M3 evo, but has fallen for the shape and the 'old skool' look and feel of the E30 !!
We are keepin the evo, and I'm finally gonna get my sticky mitts on an E30 in the next month or so

i dont think my mrs likes my e30.... or the zone for that matter....... she said if i spend another hour on the zone she will leave me.....
i am going to miss her
she hasnt driven it yet either, well no she did once, she moved it forward about 10 metres and when she came back and i asked her how she found it (first auto she has driven) she just said "its huge, its like a boat"..... so long as she doesnt get a taste for driving it im happy
