Value of a car?

Can anyone, give me a ballpark value of a granite silver 325i sport, "J" reg, just had a respray, 129k mileage but it has been a category c write off previously due to damage to a door (of which was the only damage which i replaced). the car has a stainless scorpion dtm exhaust, is "apparently" chipped, and now sits on mint original bbs. Is also slightly lowered too.
Any idea how i might find out if it has any service history? its been well loved in its past, and is not a rusty example.
Im just trying to decide if i want to keep it, or buy something modified for track use....
Thanks in advance guys
Pics to follow shortly once i get to the body shop to collect it...

Keep it if it's as clean as you say it is, sport's are gettin harder to find, and the value of your's will have a big dent in it due to being cat-c, so you're probably better off keeping and cherishing it mate

Its hard to judge without any images.
Sports usually go from anything between 3.5-6k, depends on the condition

yes, a cat c for just a damaged door. and yes, im pretty sure its a genuine sport, unless one of you with the ability to check these things out can tell me differently?
if the car wasnt insured on a classic policy, im pretty sure the insurance company would value it accordingly via autotrader/glasses guide/ebay for a guide price.
a friend recently had wheels and xenon headlights stolen from a 2001 e39 5 series and they gave the car a category b ..... go figure i guess.
registration is j297 kke if anyone can confirm indeed that it is a sport?

being a cat c I would say expect offers around 2-2.5k people swerve cat c cars regardless of the story behind it

Steve where off the net did you get those details from?
There handy if your surfing the net for e30s and your not sure if they really are genuine sports

go into your local stealer or ask the resident one ME

.
I need the last 7 digits of chassis number to confirm
sometimes the reg number will work but chassis number is better.

If Granite was the original colour its a Sport, As this was a special order colour from BMW for Sports only......Not many Granites about, I had one but sold it and there are 2 maybe 3 on here.

Thanks guys, good news then!
the car now has black leather, so what is anthracite cloth?
just a black version of the normal sports seats? and what is additional fuel? long range tank? And yes, originally granite silber, as the stickers on the car say........

jusy out of interest, only 2 or three on here.... quite rare then
Sounds like might be a car to make mint and keep.
Zimmerbimmer, thanks for getting the info up, is there any way you can tell me any history details on it? or how to find it out?
