Change the ride height to 35mm, 60mm is probably too low.

i did think ov this but i like the way it looks it gives it an aggressive stance. thought about making a plate to cover it but not too sure if it would work

Ive been running a 60mm drop for about 18 months with no issues but its not my daily drive, Id probably go 40mm all round if its was, more for comfort reasons.
To be fair 60mm is fine, so long as you remember you can not go over speed humps at normal speeds!

I'm more like 80mm down at the front, smashed one sump on a rock, and my second sump now has a small hole in it, where its worn away on something (not sure how, I can't recall ever having touched ANYTHING with the new sump?!), and I'm about to go and fix it.
Sump guard will be made either later or tomorrow for sure though!

60mm isn't too bad at all mate, you just have to remember and be careful. I'm being rubbish right now, its just a standard M20 sump isn't it? Should be easy to get a second hand one on here from someone. And get a new gasket too.

What did you hit btw?

I been rolling on a 60mm drop for the past 10 months, the issue i got is speed bumps, and multi storeys. The only real problem i have is each time i go over a bump the exhaust drags over it. Try a higher profile tire or a bigger rim, doesn't solve the problem, but sure helps.

Also attacking the multiple style speed humps in the middle of the road so that the wheels go over them and the middle underbelly of the car actually gets more ground clearence is a good idea.

The rest of the time a little carefull adjustment of speed or angle can help too, if the road is clear try pulling in towards the kerb and then just as you are about to go over the hump turn in towards the middle of the road so that one wheel leads the other up the speed hump.

The really tall but short speed humps piss me off! Nowt you can do to avoid scraping :x

Couldn't you roll up to the tall-and-short bumps until the wheels just kiss it, then blip the throttle to make the back end squat and the nose rise, and then lurch over the bump and hope the sump doesn't smack the tarmac on it's way back down?

It'd be like watching an angular Bavarian wallowing hippo.

Sure there is someone on here making/selling sump guards. Troll through the sale section or try a search.

Grrrmachine, 60mm isn't low enough to bother doing that unless the bumps are really big! At 80mmish I've used a variety of techniques on big bumps:
over at an angle
blipping like you said, but that doesn't help the exhaust!
driving round ;)
1 wheel on, one off on single
a wheel on both single bumps, gap down the middle of the car

As make your own sump guard with a friend! A small sheet of 3mm steel, some strips to make mounts, some bolts and some time, done! (and a drill and lots of bolts or a welder)
I'll be doing mine when I get back from Somerset, will try to get a photo when its done.
