1 day insurance

Hi Guys,
Well I am planning to get my MOT done on the car tomorrow at my local garage.
The thing is I don't have any insurance on the car as the car as been parked up for a few months due to the engine conversion.
I don't want to take the risk in driving the car without insurance for the obvious reasons ie rozzers, any mishaps
Can anybody suggest a good insurance company that would allow me to get insured for one day or a week??
Thanks

Contact your normal insurance company and inquire. I insured one of my cars for 1 day and it only cost £5.95
That was Direct Line.

For another driver to drive it 3rd party the car has to have insurance cover already or the police ANPR cameras will flag it up and get him pulled, they seam to love crushing uninsured cars recently, the only exception to this is if your mate happens to be on motor trade insurance and brings his trade plates with him.

I would make it clearar to the insurance company that you do not have a current MOT as most insurance policies will not cover a vehicle that is not taxed and tested. It is one of their little get outs!

Ecar worked out the cheapest for me
Under £10 a day
Tempcover(L&G) and dayinsure(NU) wanted between £18 and £20 ish a day IIRC
