Had my E30 318i up for sale in the classifieds section, a few peeps asked me for pictures and so i sent themfrom my hotmail account. A few days after i got a message saying ' ill give you the asking price but will you take cheque, and i have somebody in the UK who sorts out my shipping and they will send you the check' After this i sent an e-mail back saying cash only or chesck but ill have to wait for it to clear before i hand over the keys. Then i got a message back which sounds even dodgier, and sounds exactly like a scam my old queen saw on the TV, it said,

'Hello,
thanks for your mail i want you to know that i'm okay
with the 1,000pounds.Inrespect of payment i have a
client in the U.K who is owing me 5,000pounds.All i
need to do to make payment easier and faster is to
instruct him to procure a check and mail it to you on
the address and name you want on the check and you
know it takes 3 days for a cheque to clear in the U.K
But i would want to know if i can trust you to send my
balance to me via money gramm after the money must
have cleared in your bank to enable me prepay the
shipping company here so that they can instruct their
office in the U.K come for the pick up the 318I LUX
from your location.pls mail me asap to enable me
arrange payment.Furnish me with your name and
address,so i will forward it to my client for payment.

Thanks
MARK......................'

For starters the first price he said hed pay was Ԛ£780 and not Ԛ£1000, cant tell who it was that sent it to me cos i sent pics to a number of peeps and the e-mail isnt on anyones profiles, anyway the e-mail was _________yahoo.com(not sure if im aloud to tell his e-mail without getting sued, anyone know), just wanna warn people to be warry if they get e-mails of this geezer.

Theres a chance he could be genuine but he doesnt half make himself sound sketchy if he is!

I have had loads of similar scammers trying to get me since i have advertised seats on fastcar.co.uk

When i told them that i wanted them to pay in cash instead of their little "arrangement" they left me alone

They sound about as legal as an Iraq war.
You might as well post the address so we can use it to fill in online forms for junk mail
