hi all , hope everyone is well
first post for a while as my e30 got written off and i got a bit bashed in the accident
driving to work and entering a pretty open left hand bend a little sod in a 106 gti coming the otherway overtook a cyclist on the bend and went straight into me , end result being i went accross the road into a telegraph pole and he ended up in a hedge , god knows what the cyclist made of it , broke my wrist etc and now going through the process of trying to get something out of the insurance company

learnt a few things that day , most suprising one is e30s crash amazingly well ,

on the lookout for another one now , gonna sell my e36 to fund it

Dam into a telegraph pole that must have hurt!! Was you wearing a seatbelt? Hope your alright mate and not to badly injured.

Make sure you claim on your wrist...neck....back....leg if you can be bovered lol!!

Yes these cars are very strong arent they, unlike the crap they make these days!!

Is your car in bad condition? If its not that bad mayb you should think about buying it back from the insurance company, you pay them 20% of what they will pay you out for the car. May be worth doing as parts are fairly cheap to buy.

I'd much rather have an accident in a modern car than an E30...

Sad to hear about the crash mate, hope you're alright.

Sorry to hear about this, glad you're getting well now. Now is when you find out how good your insurance really is, Direct Line were awesome for me, I hope yours fights your corner really hard.

Get well soon mate, the buy back option sounds like a good idea. I bet the little shit in the Pug walked away unhurt  . When you're better and the insurance is sorted maybe.... well lets just say revenge is a dish best served cold

cars beyond repairing but may get it back as apart from the front end and rear quater panel was immaculate , interior etc.. il see though as a window smashed in the crash and i expect the cars full of water now sat in some salvage yard , as zaust said though its just a car at the end of the day , just have to save up and get another

So you would rather have an accident in a plastic car? Which will actualy crush if ou went into a lampost!!

I have been in an accident in a new car, got hit from the back...lets just say good thing i had no passengers in the back because there was no space left for someone to sit!!

And i have been in an accident in an old car, went into the back of someone and there car was mashed, mine needed a new front panel and bumper.

So if you really would rather get crushed then have fun mate!!

See if you can take a look at the car first mate, if the rain has got in might not be worth gettin it back as you have to remember the amount they offer you they will minus your excess and also 20% for you to keep the car, so keep that in mind before you do take the car back.

Work out how much you will get after the deductions and if its worth it.
