What spark plugs do you use?

Hi Guys
i wanted a general idea in what spark plugs you use on your e30.
Im hoping to have the H27 started up this weekend but i need to change the sparks plugs that are currently in it (bosch w8lcr).
What do you reconmend and why?

At the end of the thread did Brian mean BPR6ES - just want to confirm as I need to change the ones in my 2.5 ?

NGKs have worked well on my touring. I got 4 brand new from ebay for under a tenner ;) These so called 'more power' plugs are a total waste of money as far as I can see, so don't be tempted.

greentouring, I think they have gone up now but I used to be able to get 4 bosch BMW plugs for less than 6 quid lol!

Just had a look on EBay - 6 plugs + postage £10.70 all in - think that's pretty good

I picked up the NGK BPR6ES from a local store and they don't fit into the HT lead???
Which NGK's are they supposed to be

I found this on the BPR6ES - pull off the little metal cover and they fit

I tried doing this with one of the plugs yesterday and the plug just fell apart?

Did you puill the right end - mine just twisted off with ease
BPR6ES are the recommended ones (old m20) so this sounds a bit strange

Well i tried to unscrew it and the whole rod thing came out of the plug?
Are you sure they are not supposed to be:
NGK BBR6ES?

Just got off the phone to GSF they have given me NGK ZGR5A??
They said that they don't recall BBR6ES and BPR6ES??

the NGK ZGR5A are for facelift m20s but I think that the BPR6ES which are recommended for pre facelift m20s are also better for facelift m20s as well

bpr6es, and nothing should pull off... the top cap should unscrew.

hmmm, some more dodgy ngk's...
I had a really bad time fault finding a misfire on my car which after checking everything turned out to be the plugs.

These ngk's were less than a month old and they progressively got worse very quickly. I went with the standard bosch single prong plug and haven't had any problems since.

The guys at the local store gave me the wrong plugs they were BPR6ES-11
They replaced them with the correct BPR6ES
Got 2 packs of 4 for £9
Whats the best gap to set these plugs up? 0.25mm?

I got NGKZGR5A's from my local Partco - Got 6 for £9.78 + VAT.
