nope, you need e30 m3 or a nasty mix of e36 coupe and compact stuff
do a search its been covered a few times

apparently you can get decent geometry with the e36 stuff, you just need to use specific combo's of the bits

E28 legs will fit, but you need the E30 M3 bottom plate for it to work. Some guys in Oz have done it this way, but have given up as E36 stuff is WAY cheaper and is similar offset to Holden commode wheels.

Hi guys on your 4to 5stud subject try MARLIN SPORTSCARS i know you can use B M W AS DONOR cars and i have seen an article on running gear they used 4 to 5 stud type spacers it gave them a wider choice of wheels http://www.marlinsportscars.co.uk/spors ... nformation cheers hb

From memory, the spacers put the offset into + numbers. ie, way too much sticking out. I think they used 2 sets, 4x100-5x114, then 5x114-5x120

Clarify what's nasty. With geometry specs.

Popular misconception. They don't fit. The bottom of E28 struts are different to E30 M3 so the plates dont fit.

The easiest way is to fit 5 stud is, of course, use E30 M3 stuff. You can get perfectly acceptable geometry using a mixture of E36 parts. A few people that don't do their homework have fitted the wrong E36 stuff, or read about it on american forums, and have got less than std E30 allignment. Using E30 M3 offset TCA bushes, M3 Evo TCA's, E36 M3 hubs and struts and E30 springs you can get alignment the same as E30 M3 but with 20 minutes less camber. Fixable with either BMW offset or adjustable topmounts.
