E30's all over.

For the past couple of weeks I've seen a few E30's, and most of them have waved at me.
A late green Touring, very mint car.
A nice white cab, he gave me a wave.
A nice grey cab with BK's. He's given me a way.
A red tech 2 with black BK's, he gave me thumbs up after racing me.
Also a black E30 Sport today which looked clean.
Anyone else noticed more E30's out now it's summer?

All the others I see have been very clean.
Mine is rusty, looks good at speed or from a distance though.

I've seen a few around, most barely cleared of spider webs with pensioners behind the wheel giving me the evil eye.
Drove past an M3 a few weeks back, the guy pulled over when he saw me but i couldent turn around for ages on that road and missed him.

Those E30s are the bargain finds of the future! Get yourself a tartan thermos and pull over next time you see the old dears having a picnic on the hard shoulder

true. Theres plenty more e30's down here in east london. But on the other hand, there has always been a good amount of lovely e30's here. But this summer should be good

I was in East London over the weekend and I've never seen such a large concentration of e30s, some really nice ones too, no doubt a few of these boys. I was inconspicuous in my new e34 though.

Theres loads of E30's in Plymouth..some chavved up horrors and some daily hacks. Theres at least 5 touring within a 1/4 mile radius of where i live. Not including mine!!
They are a testament to good build quality..

Exactly what other cars from that era, (except Golfs) do you still see on the roads in such numbers?
Maxfeild: Are they waving fingers or thumbs?

That's 7 E30's in the whole county of Caithness and Sutherland that I know of now...

There's a guy that lives by a mate of mine with a very very clean Alpina, not noticed it before, there's also 2 more pre-facelift 2doors (on the same street) near where I live, another guy who works for Fritz's and comes from a village near me drives a red 318iS, also a very clean Silver 325i touring in my town. Never noticed any of them til a few weeks ago, what's going on!?

Recently accosted a guy who lives around the corner from me, with a stunning 318is. Needs a little attention apparently but it's lovely car. Pointed him this way.
Seemed a nice chap too, very enthusiastic, especially about his 'M3 suspension'
I did point him this way, so hope he pops up at some point!

If I have to go to Guildford to work in the morning (which seems like all the time at the mo

) I see:
Sterling sport (mint with pretty young lady driving it)
Red M3 (No. Plate E3 ???)
White 318 touring (ratty but orig)
Red touring (even rattier)
Also saw a very clean royal blue convertible parked in a side street in Guildford today as well.
Going to the office in cCrawley I'll regularly see a MINT Brilliant Rot 320 2 door with a guy in a suit driving it on the Balcombe Road in Horley.

Some guy near me on the road to Misson (up t'north fo thee you southerners), dont remember the colour, but he gave me my first e30 'wave' - my response was to look like I was flinching, like a cheesy wink but without the winking. Sorry mate.

Spotted four in various states on the North Circular last sunday. Didn't wave tho - not the best move when you're pillion on a motorbike ridden by a lunatic
Saw four cabby's on an earlier weekend which was pretty

theres a chap just down the road from me, who as what i believe to be a sport in dolphin grey, ive seen him with it for years, it always stood out as looking really nice, but now every time i see it, it seems to look worse.... totally neglecting it, rust appearing, unfixed broken number plate for months,, silly things like that...
feel like going up to him and saying "your neglecting that car, do you want to give it to someone who will look after it"
