Another valuation question????

Ok, well ive got a little dilemma which i cant decide whether to sell my car or to keep it, want to get something a little newer, but not sure what yet.
So if you guy can tell me how much you think i can sell my car as it is, got some pics but not sure if you can see the bad points on them.

It will come with a standard 2.5 engine (No Supercharger), the car is a 4 door SE, so comes with the boot cover in creamy/beige colour,
- OBC
- All electric windows
- Rear blind
- Mirror with reading lights
- Tech 2 kit (Original)
- Dark charcoal colour carpet
- Eibach ARB
- Eibach front Strut brace
- Original smoked headlights
- Original MHW smoked rear lights
- Original EVO 2 Recaro leather interior,(Highback ones)- Pretty hard to come by...
- M3 Tacho Instrument (in MPH)
- Wilwood 310mm Brake kit
- Leather door handles(Front only)
- Leather center console
- Leather handbrake gaitor and grip
- Tinted window(not tooo dark)
- Brand new All-in-one Illuminated gearknob
- 6 Branch manifold(BTB one of Sal)
- Custom made exhaust all the way to the manifold

To make the car totally mint now, all it would need is a nice respray, as the rear arches have got rust on it, due to having the 9J alloys on it, and the kits got the paint flaking off it, well it has been on there for over 20 years now. And a few little little dents here and there, should be able to see these on the pics, but nothing major...

This is what i can think of at the moment, but you can see the pictures to get more of an idea, on the link below.

Soo pacerpete, from your experience how much you think its worth, i know its a 4 door, etc etc. But if you had to put price on it, what would you say....

Oh ive ready got people saying they want most of the bits, but until ive decided on what im doinf first cant say much...

Sorry Shakeel, you know the answer just as i do. I reckon the car may fetch £1500 tops bearing in mind the rust issues. Rusty 4 doors are worth the sum of their parts minus the aggro factor. As a car we all know a 4 door is just as good/bad a car as a 2 door BUT due to aesthetics and a perceived 'uncool' stigma , 4 doors are largely ignored by 'modders' and people who are prepared to spend money on an e30. Sad but true.
Get fragging ! :D

LOL, give it a little while, need to make some seerious decisions, if not might just start stripping it, well the car anyway winkeye

I dont understand why there's not many people modding 4 doors and the dislike for them :(

I suspect that the 4 door will become a rare car because people dont appreciate them...when was the last time you saw a 4 door Cortina or Escort....same thing happened there...good luck and let me know

Rare doesn't always equate to valueable. It costs the same to repair/mod/restore a 4 door as a 2 door. Those who have regard for their shekels should steer clear of 4 doors. If you covet the extra 'practicality' buy a touring and have a 4 door that looks good and people will actually buy whaen you want/need to sell ! :)

Pete...cant argue with that...but is a shame when these models disappear...whatever you think of the make or model....I saw a mint Fiat Strada at the Alli Palace car show...but still woulnt want to owne them....so many of them are rare for a reason...not wanted..unloved...rotted away...and the tourings are now harder to find in good nick

4 door cortinas are far more common than 2dr ones.

2 door Cortinas were always rare and were not hugely desirable when new. It was a medium sized family car and 4 doors were just better. There were quite a few Mark 1 2 doors (mostly GT's), far fewer Mark 2 and 3 two doors and virtually zero 4's and 5's.

The 4 door Escorts looked bloody terrible, particulatly the Mark 1. Conversely the four door Mark 3 looked a well balanced design. A four door E30 isn't 'desirable' but they're not a bad looking car.

I think we have gone just a bit :offtopic: ...the lad wants his E30 valued not his Cortina...and yes it was me who mentioned it first....the point was the only place I have seen a 4 door or 2 door Cortina this year was at the Tatton Park Classic Car Show...
