How easy are non-electric windowed E30s to come by?

As above really, how easy are cars with non-electric windows to come by? Can't say I've seen one ever really. Also, do the electric motors etc. really weigh that much more than the mechanicals in non electric ones? Cheers.

Manual windowed cars are not so uncommon. 800g for manual mech v. 1.7kg for electric, per side on a 2dr.

Cheers! Could an electric windowed car be easilly converted to keepy-fit windy windy ones?

Not really looking for a new car yet mate but cheers anyway, plus when I am I'll be looking for a cheap as chips 316 or something as it'll only be geting pulled to pieces.

Quite common on early cars. Electric windows were only standard from 1988.

Next week I'm picking up a 1987 D with manual windows, non power steering, man sun roof and it's Chrometastic !
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....

I'm looking into getting something I can gradually build into a track car/fast road weekend toy, that's why I ask, the less weight the better! It will be a very slow working progress, so hopefully by the time it's finished, I can afford to insure it, whatever type of engine I drop in it winkeye

my dads 2 door 1983 320i had electric windows :?

must have been retro fit by previous owner?

No I think they mean that til 1988, electric windows were an optional extra.
