'My car', 'the E30', 'the BMW'
...or variations on the above! Give a car a name, and you are a girl.
(& yes both my cars have names, according to / thanks to the girlfriend. Damnit!)

Naming a car has to be the gayest thing i've ever heard

A bit like calling them her/she in my book

Nothing wrong with calling a car she/her, kind of a given...ive always been told cars are feminine, as are ships and planes.

So are those ships described as 'Man o' War' cross dressing?

A car is an 'it' it has no gender.
Just because they go wrong monthly and require constant maintenance and money throwing at them doesn't make them female

Never understood naming a car or calling it she.. It's a car.
That just come from those weirdos who like to get a bit more intimate with their cars.
'Oh yeah, she loves it when I give her a good detailing'
I bet 'she' does.

Naming your car or referring to it as she is SAD unless you are a woman then it just normal!

If you've given your car a name, odds are you also use the ashtray to put your testicles in when you drive it. No man gives his car a name.
I can understand refering to machines as she, because they're all attention-seeking tempremental high-maintenance objects, and I wouldn't want to tempt fate by disrespecting a 25-year-old one tonne German. But giving it a personal name, and then telling the whole damn internet, that's for eunuchs.

my cars have names not because i want to humanise them, make them soft and cuddly or give them a gender, just as a term of reference. and if i can make that term mildly amuzing by making the name a bit daft then all the better.
despite having 'names' my cars are most definatly still 'its'
