I hope it's not the one i have stored in a private car park, leave notes on it removal without consent is theft.

where abouts are you from? dont plan on taking it without consent. am going to try and get in contact with the owner to see if it is there for a reason or if it is unwanted. just spoken to a mate in the police force and he is gonna try and get a VIC on it.

as far as i know, if the car is left and is causing a hazard for obstuction you can lift it after 28 days...my mate with the workshop at the back of mine lifts broken down cars all the time and sells them on etc.. just applies for new v5... he is a bit dodgy though lol..

Not that ive ever done it, and by me telling you doesnt make it legal... get 2 of you to pull the wheel as hard as possible, if this doesnt break it then use more bodies or a scaffhold tube to lever it

  Be careful..........

Don't break into it until you've got it home. Rent a van and a trailer, cut the handbrake cables, winch it on and away you go. Get it stripped and weighed but make sure the scrapyard will take it witghout a V5 as not all of them do.
As for keeping it - well, possession is 9/10ths of the law but what's to stop the owner taking it back off you once you've got it going?

Jamie , the keys are hidden in the NSR inner arch. Bring a magnet, you will find them easily as they are the only thing metal in the vicinity !

				Cheers for the hint.
Only problem with that is having to bend over to slip my in between the gap, you know what it's like around Sutton

Apply to dvla for ownership , If the owner does not dispute new ownership with 14 days you will recieve a new logbook in your name

Its stupid that they send a letter to the owner and if they are abroad on holiday they cant dispute ownership , Good luck

...........and if they do dispute ownership, you need to explain to the courts why you were applying for the V5 for a car you don't own.

Correct , I remember a story a while back of a guy who did this as he found a escort cosworth parked up on private property by flats with no tax , The guy applied for ownership and recieved a logbook , Apparently the guy was off in iraq fighting , Think fuzzy or someone whos on passionford will correct me .

I wouldn't worry too much. A bloke once left a 405 outside a friends house for a week and found us trynig to fill it full of bathroom. Couldn't say much since he'd had the gaul to dump it...

if it is a private car park then speak to the owner he is legally entitled to remove abandoned property from his land and can empower you to remove it for him ...then apply to dvla they will issue a v5 in less than a month as long as the owner does not object
just one other point a v5 is not proof of ownership its just who the vehicle is registered to
