I have had the tappetts adjusted but it still sounds a little tappy. Is this normal? :?

they could be very worn but M20's to tick, the injectors make a ticking noise and can sound like tappets. Also, a snapped exhaust stud on the manifold can also give a ticking/tappet like sound

new injectors wouldnt tick much. they will still tick a teeny weeny bit..it would be hard to notice. best to get them ultrasonically cleaned by a bosch servie centre. far more cost effective.

you can get them ultrasonically cleaned at about £20 each, find a local bosch agent, it's likely to quieten them down but may not stay good long term. New ones are probably £50+ each x6 = lube up :D

Might just be a knackered manifold gasket.

had mine diagnosed as a blown exhaust manifold gasket. sounded just like tappets but with an irregular beat and seemed to go away when decelerating. also got quieter when everything warmed up...........
