Probably best off locating a testing station which purely does MOT tests, not a garage.
That way you should get a strict but fair MOT from someone who doesn't stand to gain anything from you if it fails.
If you look in your yellow pages for Naarich, it should list Testing stations. Or you could take it to Lind for a laff.

nope, i've given up trying to find a decent one locally.
the gf thought she had one near here untill they tried to do a total rip-off job on her mk2 golf recently.
all my cars now get taken to a mate over 100 miles away because i know he will be 100% fair, and let me have a damn good prod around whilst it's up on the ramp and point out things which may need attention within a couple of years, but wouldnt normally be serious enough to go as an advisory at most places.

Been taking mine to Cookes of Fakenham 01328 864951 for a few years now, never had any problems but I have it checked by a mechanic before the test.

Look up the local council vehicle depot, they do MOT's for thier own vehicles and have to offer the service to others. Book it in, no point them failing it on something simple as you'll have to bring it back a waste more of thier time

wow, you norfolk bumpkins really travel for an MOT
My old man takes a fair few cars for MOT and uses a place in Wymondham. Different places are more fussy about particular things, i.e. one place would perhaps fail you on a tyre(s) another may have an obsession with brake pipes.

I take my e30 to Thorpe End Garage, they specialise in bmw servicing and mine passed with no problems at all!!! Plus they are only 4 miles outside of Norwich City Centre! And they have a website! Link below!!

Kevin Fairweather (use google) is a good ordinary MOT tester who has always seemed fair and has no problems using second hand parts etc. I've used him for repairs and MOTs for about 8 years.
