Touring Question

The cubby spaces in the boot in my touring are empty!!
What does everyone keep in them?
I've got my first aid kit in there, but that seems to be the only thing that fits. Where does the warning triangle, towing eye, tools etc go (pics would be handy)
Cheers.

in a touring you get a tool roll that fits in the n/s cubby hole, there should be a smaller cubby hole on the back of the panel....... cant show you a pick as mines broken. i had to buy a full tool roll off ebay for £22.
jack also goes in the n/s side, has a securing brackety thing.
in the o/s one i have my dads (still need to give him it back, but i keep needing it. lol.) 5 ton tow rope and my halfrauds tyre inflater thingy

electric tyre pump, de-icer can, tow rope, jump leads, 1 litre top-up oil, 1 litre top-up water, jack, tools, rags, rubber gloves, UK spec plates if i ever get pulled for my german ones!
if i had a saloon, the boot would be an utter tip!

Left-hand one in my Touring has the correct stuff - jack, wheel brace, tool kit, triangle, chock, 1st aid kit. Also in there is a pair of heavy duty jump leads, a tow rope and 2 cans of tyre repair (no spare due to LPG tank in well).
Right-hand one has a litre of oil, a litre of coolant, spare PS and alt belts. A pair of binoculars live in there too. On days out there's also a flask of hot water to make the coffees when we stop for a picnic.

All the standard BMW stuff, plus maps, fire extinguisher, pack of bulbs and fuses, high vis vest, jump leads, glass cleaning wipes, proabably a few more bits that I can't remember.

Left hand one has all the normal bits, plus tow rope/fan belt/spare bulbs/fuses/jump leads.
Right hand one has the auxilliary battery to power my amplifiers and a 1/4",3/8" socket set,gloves/service light reset tool.
Not much else IIRC

What no original wheel brace?
Actually, where does the original wheel nut brace secure in a touring? They spent all that time getting the first aid kit triangle and wheel chock to fit in the cubby door but not wheel brace?

It fits in beside the jack iirc

I had two full toolrolls and all the original gear in my last touring but the garage didn't clear out the side pods (as instructed) before it went to scrap :/ There goes all sorts of useful bits, including a tow rope and tyre inflator...
Time to start again I guess. Current one has the jack, and wheelbrace which is better than nothing.

The pillar that the clamp for the wheel brace pivots on is longer on a touring, to allow the wheel brace to be clamped under it as well.
