3.7% extra overead. so 3.7mph slower at 100.

Oh that's not too bad on its own then, but taking into account some people have recorded up to a 10% overread already, this could make things a bit more interesting.
Not in E30s any more :(

How good is your maths? If you know the RPM, the gear ratio, the diff ratio and the circumference of the wheel then its fairly straight forward.

try this.......

rpm / gear ratio / diff ratio x 0.071 = mph

this assumes a tyre with diameter of 24 inches

In an iS top gear is 0.8 and the diff is 4.10 so at 4000 rpm

4000/0.8/4.10 x 0.071 = 86.6 mph
