Amen to that, although mine's only a light fondle compared to yours fuzzy.fuzzy wrote:same here.jibowski wrote:i prefer my tourings molested
Not in E30s any more

I gave a bit too much for my Touring last year, mainly because the bodywork isn't mint - but it isn't that bad either. 1990 325i, manual, 15" x-spokes, sport seats, LSD (not sure if that was standard), sunroof, leccy front windows, and the bestbit was a genuine 61k miles with a FULL BMW main dealer history! I gave £2k for it in a fit of 'I must have it!'

If that mileage is genuine and the bodywork is reasonable then you paid about the right price imhoShineOn wrote:I gave a bit too much for my Touring last year, mainly because the bodywork isn't mint - but it isn't that bad either. 1990 325i, manual, 15" x-spokes, sport seats, LSD (not sure if that was standard), sunroof, leccy front windows, and the bestbit was a genuine 61k miles with a FULL BMW main dealer history! Doesn't look quite so shiny now Si, it's been sat in the drive since last August! I love it to bits though, did a trackday at Silverstone in my old M3 converted 328 yesterday, so feel all enthused to get the track prep started on the E30. As ever, funds are an issue until my missus stops spending our fucking money on the house extension.
And yep, the millage is genuine, all the paper work tallys - there is a massive folder full of every MOT, service sheet and corresponding invoice. They had some pretty big bills, for example about 6 months before I bought it the ABS pump was replaced at just shy of £800!

I want the car as a keeper. For cherishing , cleaning , and mostly civilised drivingSimon13 wrote:it's a straight nice car ShineyOn i remember it well!

My bad. I'm a pessimist and I was reckoning on 2 days.. .which I thought would be reasonable for normal general garage. At £70 an hour plus vat that came out at about £1400. If I'm painting too black a picture fair enough, but I'd prefer not to be stranded halfway through for lack of cash!Brianmoooore wrote:Fitting a 325 engine in place of a 320 engine (keeping original gearbox, etc), in a touring is an easy days work, for anyone with a ramp, etc.
If someone can do it in a day, great news. I'd get a written quote ;)

Mine's just getting a plain water jetwash, and the inside is full of dogblankets, tools and crap. No pressure

There is a cracking white 325i touring on http://oldcolonelcars.co.uk/ for £2,000. If I had storage I would snap it up myself

Hold out for the 325, I've just bought one in royal blue, with natural leather, stunning car, I upgraded from a 320i albiet an auto, but the extra grunt of the 325 is more than worth having. Look at it this way, the 325 has the disc brakes as standard and the 51mm struts, wait for a good one to come along, in the right colour, royal blue is stunning, it changes colour according to the light!. I paid £492 for mine with 1 year mot!.
Anyone breaking a royal blue e30 with mint sunroof and 4door front passenger door?, Mines rusting through (only bit of rust i can find on the car) .
