I interpreted the OPs question as wanting to know how many of the 41,000+ members actually post on a regular basis.
Personally, I'd guess that the answer is less than 5%.

I have off periods where I don't bother (car is SORN'd so I get disheartened every now and then) and technically I don't really contribute so not of much help but still consider myself a member!

i have a 318is rally car which i will keep forever and is used regularly and have had a gold 325 1987 chromie (which i sold to a zone member) as my road car and now have a 1991 325 touring with lpg on it as my daily driver. I aslo post fairly regularly either helping in the tech section or dabbling in the classified area so i assume i count?

Believe it or not....my latest touring is my 34th E30. at one stage I had nine all at the same time. I currently have 3 all mot'd and taxed, and one on the way to the scrappy.
