Yes mate, unique to the car, also autos have different rads too.datourer wrote:Am i right in thinking that airco' fitted E30's have different radiators? My car dumped most of it's coolant today, so fingers crossed it's nothing more serious

Very lucky! Then again, maybe A/C is more common in your country? It's seems to be very rare in the UK that's for suredatourer wrote:so due to the shortage of airco fitted E30's i'll probably be lucky to find one at a breakers...

Please, my adopted country! I don't think i've seen another E30 with airco' here, or anywhere else. Here's hoping it's just a hose, but i don't think so.Simon wrote:Very lucky! Need to fix a blown rad?
Easy, buy a tube of araldite from here..........
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 15-8007026
Mix up and splodge on the blown bit, five minutes later job done.
Works a treat and lasts for years with no adverse effects whatsoever on the cooling system.
Unless your rad is really rotten you'll never need to buy a new one.
Take it from me,i AM the King of Bodge

If you source one in the UK, I will be going to the Ring and could meet you in France!
If that saves any bother!

I got an E30 325i Auto 'aircon' rad from ECP by accident when I ordered mine.
I ordered the Manual 'Aircon' rad and there was no problem getting one, but they sent an Auto rad instead. The 'aircon' rad isnt that much more expensive, about Ԛ£10 I think. ECP stuffed up with mine though and charged me too much, then refunded me too much, so I only paid Ԛ£30 for it. Bargain
The only difference between the Manuals and Autos is the outlets for the Auto Trans cooling, which can just be blocked off.
