Found this stuff on ebay, was wondering if anybody has used it before.

Was thinking of using on my bumper strips instead of having a red insert.

by the sounds of the add its a bit like flip paint, you know the ones that change colour in the sunlight!
you have to put a black coat on them first as well, and the actuall paint is nearly clear and takes loads of it to cover enough so as its not patchy or see through.
from experience of buying fancy paints off ebay, i would`t bother as 99% of the time the seller has thinned it down so much to squeeze as much out of the original paint they can.

100ml probly would`t be enough to do 2 mirror covers

ive seen chrome paint in a local wilkinsons store, i think its £5.75 for 250 or 300ml spraycan, and its probly far better than the stuff on e bay

you would`t go wrong with this stuff probly the best on the market

a friend of mine had a 306 cabriolet painted with chrome paint, to be honest it doesnt look that impressive.

he works in the spray shop where it was done and the amount of prep work needed for a good finish was a serious amount.

the car apparently had to be painted in a perfect black first then the chrome over the top.

the paint alone cost him 700 just for his car.

and according to him if any damage occurs to the car its a respray needed!!!

he did total up what the job would have cost him at his bodyshop and it came to something ridiculous like 7000!!!

alot of money for very little impact i thought!! :(
