Just a quick hello from not so sunny Scotland.
Will be purchasing a 325i Sport in the summer, so just thought i'd sign up and get some hint and tips from this site before i make the plunge.
Wil be looking for a nice Dolphin Grey one to keep a big grin on my face.
Also a quick thanks to d6dph who pointed me to this site over on Detailing World (and thanks to him for making me want a Dolphin Grey E30!)
In the process of selling my 04 Leon Cupra as i'm buying my first house in the summer too, and will be using a top of the range 1998 Rover 214 as my every day car until then (got it free!). The e30 will be a weekend/night car as i do 70+ miles a day and don't want to waste a classic on that boring journey!
Is there anyone from around my way on here?
Anyway i'm sure you will see alot more of me on here as I will be asking numerous question no doubt!
Cheers
Jonathan

Welcome Squire!
Sounds like you're someone who knows what they are looking for- good luck!
Also, you're more than welcome to come along to any meets etc that we're having, even if you've not bought the car yet...
sometimes its easier to show what goes wrong on an actual car.

Welcome mate,
I'm in C/B and have owned two of these cars in the past as well as other E30's so if you need a hand in looking for one or advice just drop me a line.
Cheers

It's the Cupra TDi i have got due to the miles i can rack up in a week. I did try the 1.8t and it was nice to drive but a little too thirsty for my weekly commute. As far as the TDi is concered, it's a great motorway car as once it's in 6th it just stays there all the way from Coatbridge in Edinburgh, around town I would have prefered a petrol though as I feel i'm up and down the gears all the time in it due to the turbo lag!gooner1 wrote:Welcome Jonathan, not from your way but a mate of mine is. Just can't wait to get a bit N/A grunt again for weekend fun!
Oh and Gary- where abouts in C/B are you, never seen your car kicking about before?
Try here for a lot of the scottish boys as well http://www.bavarian-board.co.uk/forum_topics.asp?FID=21

i know mate, was only joking -i've stepped in nicer things in the street BUT it will allow me to get me house and a nice Dolphin Sport! Hope i'm not setting myself up for a fall looking for a decent Sport in one specfic colour. To be honest I do like other colours but the dolphin grey is winning at the moment!fuzzy wrote:it doesnt matter how you dress it up, a top of the range rover is still a rover

I really like the black too, but being a bit of a clean freak with my cars i would probably be too worried about getting it dirty, theres a bit of give with silver/grey, saying that I would probably still wash it more than twice a week!jbh wrote:welcome aboard mate im not that far fron you aswell must admit dolphin grey is a lovely colour for a sport.. ive just got my self anouther tec1 shell to reshell my own one. will need a full respray im planning on going down the diamond swartz matalic way again but i must admit youve got me thinking![]()

Cheers Grant, look forward to seeing all these great cars and most importantly getting one, just a pity i will have to wait until the summer. Need must though! Seems a friendly bunch round here aswell.
Will give me time to read up on them and get the knowledge to find a goodun.
You in Falkirk?

Welcome Jonathan !! I'm a wee bit further North than you but still in Scotland ( just ). A dolphin sport sounds like a perfect choice to me. Prepare to be hooked for life though.
