I'm going to to replace the convertible top on our '98 325, and I understadn you can get a zip out window.
Was this a factory original?
Has anybody here had experience with them?
Is the zipper well hidden?
Thanks,
Jim

Damn typing. That should read '89...not '98.
Sorry.
Cheers,
Jim

Some were zipped & some were stitched... I'd guess that yours being a later car it may well be zipped, but you'd have to check. The zipper's totally concealed (you can feel it's there though if you want to know) - it's just used for fitting the window (& makes life much easier if you need to change it!) & not for opening once fitted. :thumb:

Thanks Ziggy.
Can the window be taken out and stored if the top is left down all summer anyways...and easily put back in again?
Cheers,
Jim

Not easily... Much more simple to just take the whole hood off - save weight too!

If you are planning on buying a e30 hood replacment screen dont buy it from the guy on ebay as it is totaly rubish and in my oppinion is a waste of money as it will look a mess once you have fitted and is not easy to fit.
I wish i never bought it now
