I need pics of the front 1/2 of the roll cage, I am not sure if to fit mine in front of the dash or go through the dash so I can get it closer to the A pillar.

Thanks ED

Thats what I wanted zaust
I think if I take the windscreen out and get a hole cutter in a drill and drill 2 holes in the dash I may be able to feed the cage through.

Here's some pics of my O.M.P. cage before and after fitting.

I did have to remove the glovebox (it wouldn't open so just added weight!), the sunvisors, hence my council sun-strip! and I had to turn the light switch panel upside down - which was a little fiddly!

The type of cage you buy will denote whether you need to go through the dash or not. It will depend on the dog leg at the front end.

Mine goes through the dash to the floor, then through the bulkhead to the suspension legs. Another bar goes straight through the middle of the dash from one side to the other. It's a pig to fit, but will be good in the end.

I would suggest that ones which go through the dash will be stronger.

I still might make it to go through the dash, I am going to have a play.

Ed, is there anything you can't do??? Or are you just THE engineer??

I wouldn't have been surprised to read that you bent the metal yourself!!!!

Didnt bend the pipes but had to make it fit as the cage was made for an alfa 146.
I just hate paying out money for things I can do :)
