Just got my C2 2.7 back on road after ages.. just had to tell someone.. this is one awesome driving machine, just the sound is enough to arouse..!

It's Alpina Green - you must know the shape so well now you know the colour, you can imagine it ! :-) will put pics on later, when have a digi camera!
Standard M-Tech Sport kit, all standard and original spec except I put a Close Ratio Sport Gearbox in, which by my calculation should let it hit 60 in 2nd taking one gearchange out of it.
Loads of low down torque, just saving up for the six branch. Also going to fit Poly bushes all round (I have them already)

is that an m-tech 2 kit then i assume you have the facelift version? very rare colour in green especially on an E30

Not being devils advocate but maybe uneducated in the matter.....
regarding A: why does it have to be a track slag to poly bush?
regarding b: i thought due to the direction of travel that only subframe poly's deterioate the ride noticably?
regarding c: i thought they lasted much longer than standard bushings?!!
regarding d: it makes no sense just to say wrongness - i see the joke though....
dont get me wrong i'm not looking for heated debate ot argument and i dont mean to sound like a smart ars┚¬ - i just find ur opinion of them comes accross as more of a sweeping generalisiation with a bit of attitude thrown in than an informed statement? if you were to say though well liam actually mate blah blah blah i would gladly eat humble pie! i use this site mostly as a resource for anything i know about my car and without it would be neck deep in garage bills - i value what people say here so i guess thats why i'm asking!!

U don't need poly bushes on a road car is my opinion. Go OE bmw stuff. There are enough uprated bushes from bmw themselves to warrant not needing poly stuff, again my opinion

Both cars were fitted with poly bushes nearly 6000 miles ago, on the 8 series , a big heavy car which eats stock bmw bushes for breakfast!,( i'm on my 2nd set of track control arms in 2yrs), however its got poly bushes on trust arms & ARB's & is totally viberation free as is the E30, i swear by them & defend the use of them on other bmw forums
I truly wonder if all those people slagging off " poly bushes" actualy have them fitted correctly!!!

Cheers for all valuable inputs so far, don't worry about being off-track.. still value input. Interesting range of opinions on Poly bushing, didn't know about Alpina spec bushing, if still available thats what I'll do, in which case I'll have a brand new set of polys to sell!
Except subframe bushes which have been done already!
Trying to keep to original spec. Have obtained a Genuine ALPINA six branch but in a dilemma as to whether it will fit.. doesn't look like it would appreciate any experiences of this. (Got it from Germany £400 !)
Was up against a Z4 3.0 recently, (230bhp) still couldn't get away from the Alpina's prodigious torque.

Also looking to upgrade front brakes.. any experiences welcome.

Your steering box is most likely to be shot thats why you cant feel any ride quality reductions.
The bushes can only be fitted correctly!
