Some little scrote has busted the left rear quarter glass (only after trying to break the drivers lock with a screwdriver) and had the radio away.
Highly annoying - especially since it was a shagged old tape deck that had busted buttons and no display. Ripped the deck out hard enough to pull a mystery wire that caused all the trim under the steering wheel to fall out.
This is the second time I have had this happen (last on my Golf 10 years ago).
So pay attention you theiving little gits - next time you want to bust my car up to get at a radio worth exactly zero pence, rather come and knock on my door first - I'll give you a tenner to spare me the hassle of replacing the window, and putting all the trim back together. Then I'll give you the kicking you deserve.
Anyone got replacement glass to flog me? Is it a PITA to put in?

I have both opening rear quarter's & fixed, which is it that you need? when you say left side, can you confirm that you mean the passenger side.
I'm in Wimborne if that helps!
The opening rear quarters are easy to fit, never had to fit a fixed rear before... shouldn't be too hard!

Alrite mate! Cant help you with the quarter light but i just wanted to say i feel your pain!! I had my motor broken into for sweet f*ck all - Likewise i wish i could have given them the same cash option... on the plus side they left a finger print behind which ended them getting arrested for previous break-ins...ah sweet revenge!!
All the best mate

sorry to hear that mate,
nearly 2 years ago someone tried to break into my 4 door, totally wrecked the drivers door lock, and smashed the rear passenger quarter, but still couldn't get in, luckly my neighbour got up so they didnt get a chance to try another window..
i put the word on the street, found out who it was told the police, they didnt do anything about it, so i went round his house smashed his windows and beat the f**ker up...
never had any problems from him since!!!
hope you get the lil s**t they shouldn't be allowed to even walk on the streets

They had a go at the passenger side lock too - that's totally knackered. Well done.
e30Mark - it's a Touring, so the small bit of glass on the rear passengers door. I suppose I'll have to get the door card off to get the frame out. Anyway, for now I have that cool black bin bag and tape look going on.

Have been on the phone to the police this afternoon. Have got the crime logged etc. they reckon it's worth fingerprinting the car, so have passed on the details to an investigating unit. Will have to wait to hear from them.
Mark - if you have the glass I will be happy to take it off your hands, otherwise I'll have to go and have a nose around Trent's.

SD do you still need the door glass?, otherwise I'm going to take the doors down to my garage in Ringwood, they will be lost in there forever!

Must add..
Was quite impressed with the police - car was fingerprinted etc. Didn't really expect them to go to the trouble. The "CSI" that came out to fingerprint the car reckons that the best result is for them to cut themselves when breaking in, as it is difficult to get fingerprints off of cars. Apparently if they are in the DNA database and you have a blood sample, they are done for.
And the 'mystery wire' turned out to be from an old CD-Shuttle install. Took the opportunity to get rid of it, and tighten up all the loose trim.
