The BMW Car Club cost £35.00 to join. Anyone know what you get for your money and is it worth joining?

Hmm, dunno if its worth it. You can go to some of the meets even if you are not a memeber like i did recently but some are members only. Apparantely you get heaps of magazines, discounts and stuff.

You get a magazine every month...Bi monthly is the car club mag and the alternate months you get "Straight Six"

You can, nominally, at least, get 10% from most BMW dealers on parts and servicing.

There are other discount schemes, too...such as RAC membership
1987 Henna Rot M3 (was 195bhp CAT..now more and no cat)

I am a member and have been for a while now.

Juts got my renewal form through at £45.00 a year.

To be honest, not sure what value I do get. I read the mag. which is now better than it was and I get to access to people at the office who can source parts, discounts on servicing, parts and accessories, participation in BMW CC Events, get me access to BMW events etc.

Some of us on here are members and some say it's just badge snobbery. I don't have the BMC CC sticker in my E30 windscreen yet, but I know exactly where it's going!

Will I renew? Yes, most likely.

The monthly club magazine is very good and in my opinion worth the fee alone.

If you are a member, then contact the Club Office for your FREE tickets (£2 per ticket admin fee) to Brands Hatch on Sunday 21st May 2006, all weekend....watching the WTCC round......And celebrate the 20th Birthday of the E30 M3. The whole of the southside has been allocated for BMW

I am in Bournemouth that day, so cant go

Member only can get 2 tickets, not bad for £35 membership per year amongst other things!!

i got in on the display last year at gaydon because the marshall told me my sport looked nice and should go in!

I'm not too keen on the car club thing but that is just me and view on it. Most bmw dealers if u are a nob will give u 10% off anyway. Trade accounts don't get bits alot cheaper anyhow!

nostrils the tickets are free if it's £4 for two to go to brands is it?! :?

It's just an admin fee.

You get tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, tickets for the Sunday on grandstand normally cost £30, so I think it's pretty good!

Am I biased ? Yes.

BMWCC membership brings you currently a bi-monthly magazine which is good value. Soon the magazine will go monthly and it is a high quality magazine with a lot of info and sales/wanted items.

Discounts at the majority of BMW main dealers plus GSF of a minimum of 10%.

Further discounts to various race tracks including next Brands Hatch meet which would alone save your membership fees.

Different approach to the zone and it can come across a bit dry at times but there is a lot of knowledge out there and some friendly faces. Some of the meets are excellent and a good number family orientated if you have kids and want a family day out/car show/show and shine.

Discounts with some insurance companies.

I personally think its good value.

I've been a member for the last couple of years and i think it's good and well worth the money. I look forward to the mag (Which is about the only offer i take up for my membership), but they are very helpful with things like letters and valuations for agreed insurance purposes etc.

Ron the main man for the E30 section is a top bloke too.

The BMW CC Magazine is now monthly thats worth £35. As stated you do get discounts from a number of companys. One of the plus's is the links the club has with BMW, so we can get factory visits plus a vist to Alpina and Mobile Tradition they have one of every car here its not normaly open to the puplic. You dont have to be a member to get into Gaydon put you may get a front row seat if you are!!

Ron Parish BMW CC E30 Chairman

Thanks Ben for the kind words did you see your car in the club mag?

Yeah i did Ron. Thanks for that and i will have to order some more. My family are fighting over who gets to keep it and i'm afraid someone will get killed the way their going :D

I have some plans for the car over the next few weeks that will take it to the next level (Whatever the hell that is), so when it's finished, we can do a proper feature if you're up for it winkeye
