Hi just wondered what peoples opinions are on the best alarm for my cabriolet, had a look at a few and toad seems pretty good. Need something that imobilises the car and allows me to remote lock/unlock the car...if this is possible !!

I got a Toad alram ai606 with door locking amnd window closer etc.
Its a wicked alarm really simple to use, I also have a convertible and i feel the car is alot safer with the alarm on it.
U can leabve the roof down and have the alarm on it will only go off under heavy wind with the top down.
What area do u live in I could put u in contact with the gy who done mine and about 4 or 5 other zoner's cars.

Thatcham isnt an alarm manufacturer, they are a company that rate alarm systems and govorn them. i.e. Cat 1, cat 2 etc...
Toad arent bad, but really it comes down to who you get to install it, 90% of issues with alarms come from shoddy installation, get a good installer and you wont have a problem with any of the leading brands tbh.

Thats very true...but not very helpful
im putting a tracker on it too, if they do get hold of it 'll find em

I have a clifford on my cab. Have a proximity sensor so if anyone gets too close it chirps. Also can arm it with roof down, without fear of any wind level disturbing it.
Sounds like the sort of thing Im after did you get it fitted or was it already on the car, just that i would like to know what model it is, cheersblatantarrogance wrote:I have a clifford on my cab. As Matt said, installation is the key to a reliable alarm.
Unfortunately there are very few people out there who can (or are prepared) to do it properly. I've seen some work from 'Thatcham approved' installers that would make you cry
Ian.

If it aint broke - Modify it...
