Hi guys,

Just got given a 1990 318 is and just wondering what mods if any i should go for??

Are boost valves worth it?? HAd one on my old 325 sport and i felt it made a difference, much smoother acceleration. Is it worth it on a 318 is??

Had a search through the forums on the subject of induction kits for the 318 is and some people are saying yes to one others are saying leave it standard. Is there a any reasons for this??

Whats the best suspension to put on??

Have been told that the running gear from an M3 will be the best possible set up, is this true???

Any help much appereciated.

Cheers guys

I had a carbon induction kit on my iS for about 2 days, then dumped it on Ebay
All it did was make loads of noise, cause a mega flat spot and generally made it shite to drive, took it off, fitted standard air box back on and it was back to normal!

Chip and S/S exhaust more worthwhile from what ive read, although i have neither of these on mine so cant comment!

There is a mod that can be done to the camshaft timing that ive read about that apparently works but again not done it myself so try doing a search for this on Google maybe :)

Start with suspension and brakes

Boost valves are shite

H&R cup kit with H&R anti roll bars is the best setup for it
Got cable ties? Get diffin..

Arch roller for hire.

Do it all at once... but buy them separately if you can't afford them all in one go, but fit them all together... then there'll be a more noticable increase in power! winkeye
