Hi all,

I have myself an '89 2.0 Cab :)

and

I am going to be buying 18" Alpina reps in the next week and i thought id lower my car as well (early birthday present to myself :P ). I was gonna go for the H&R cup kit with a 60/40 drop will this cause problems coz the alpinas im getting are 8J's??? :(

Com'on all you cab owners tell me what you guys have, I want a nice drop on my car but not too low, I dont want my wheels to be sitting in the arches!

Sum1 help :?

Iv got the same car 89 2.0 cab, and i also have the pina reps, but in 17inch. i went for just the springs mission but boy i had problems. the car was lowered around 80mm (springs from a coupe) not a very good idea.

However iv got my self a Coilover kit, and i would be able to set hight however i want. i say save a bit more money and get your self either the HnR kit from the zone shop or a FK kit.

you say you dont want a very low drop? Try AVO springs. I bought a set last year fitted, aint been a problem since. Gives a 25mm drop which looks very decieving as it looks like its been lowered more than what it states. Worth the cash, good value looks and handles good. Thats on 17's btw.

Is this a car you drive on a daily basis ? If it is I would stay clear of fitting 18" alloys as you will lose any sence of ride quality and the power will go faster than you can blink.
