Hi guys! I'm new here and I'm on the hunt for my dad's old car, I know it's a massive shot in the dark but the DVLA Website is saying it's still alive. Any help would be much appreciated. Here she is..
Thanks in advanced guys.

The DVLA website says the V5C is alive, but there are unfortunately many, many E30s like that, where the physical car has long since been recycled.
Not everyone sends the appropriate part of the V5C back to the DVLA when they scrap a car privately.
It just may be tucked away in the back of a shed somewhere (I have a few myself), but I doubt it.

Thankyou for the reply. I hope it's tucked away somewhere hahaBrianmoooore wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 7:31 pmThe DVLA website says the V5C is alive, but there are unfortunately many, many E30s like that, where the physical car has long since been recycled.

I hate to say this but have you tried posting on the Zone Facebook page?

Have got a original radio for my E30. problem is the red light flashes ok but when I turn it on nothing happens. Have tried radio on another car and it works ok. Think it has something to do with the power going to it. From what I read there is two power supplies. One for the radio to keep its memory and the other to power it up. Have checked all fuses in fuse box all ok. Found another in line in glove box its ok as well. Is there fuses anywhere else. Thanks for you help.

Can't quite see what this has to do with Borgy's missing red two door, but in answer to your question, there's only one fuse on an E30 that isn't in the fusebox, and that's associated with the heater electric valve.
Radio was an extra on all E30s, and came with a four wire loom which plugs into the accessories socket behind the glove box. The four wires are earth (brown), panel lights (grey/red, fuse 23), radio switched live (purple/white, fuse 12), and radio permanent live for memory, (red/green, fuse 21).
There should be no additional fuses behind the radio.
