Help valuing 325i Touring Please
Moderator: martauto
Hi guys. I have a 1989 325i Touring manual with a body kit and interior that look like they are from a Sport.
The car is a project as it's been off the road for a couple years.
I need to sell it but don't want to insult anyone here with an uneducated asking price.
I'd be very grateful if the E30 community could give me an idea as to what the car really is and what a fair asking price may be.
The car has a Hottuning manifold, AKG Motorsport bushes all-around, Koni dampers, lowering springs, Team Dynamics 7x16 wheels, limited slip diff, plus a tuned chip and stock chip too.
The bad...it needs a fresh gearbox, exhaust and rebuilt dampers. It also needs a headliner, etc.
Any help or advice is appreciated. Pictures below (if I did it correctly!) (I will post more pictures in an actual for sale post.)
Thanks.

I just sold my project 325I Touring for £800. Advertised at a 1500 with offers on Fleabay. Probably comparable to yours, some extras went with it and needed some work to finish and had also been off the road for a couple of years.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

Thanks for the guidance.
Yes the car runs and drives. The motor has always been very healthy but the gearbox won't select 3rd/4th.
If you guys think the asking price is sensible then I will make a for sale post and add more pictures there.
Thanks again!
*for those that asked, the car is in the midlands, near Rugby.

Different clusters have been in the car, hence the mileage changes. The one in the car when I bought it didn't look original, but who's to say. It stopped working and I used the cluster from my previous 325i touring. That one has been in it for the last handful of years.
The mileage didn't concern me since the motor and clutch were excellent, and I did all the bushes with the Delrin ones from AKG.

If that kit is genuine, including the touring rear spoiler, then that alone is worth most of your 1500GBP, if in perfect condition. LSD and interior take that well over 1500, and that's before you consider the rest of the car.Cloggy Saint wrote:You'd get more than £1500 if you stripped it. £1000 - £1200 for the kit, £400 ish for the interior etc etc.
