E30 BREAKER SCAMMER ?
Moderator: martauto
Hi Guys,
Two weeks ago I purchased some parts from a seller on Ebay who was breaking an E30 318is. Its been two weeks now and I still haven't received the parts even thought the guy said they would be here last week. The biggest issue I had was I ended up transferring him the money directly from my bank to his.
He said his name is Tim Bevan and from Wales, has anyone else dealt with him before ?

If you didn't paypal or collect with cash then it could end badly,
you got a link to the items for sale ?
I'm not sure to be honest, I did find an eBay account 'bmwpartsandmotorsport' this is from an add to do with the same car just on another site.
Just be careful guys don't fall for the same thing I did.

Sorry to read this buddy, hope you get your parts, but e30topless raises a really good point. Never, ever, pay for goods on ebay outside of paypal, or cash on collection. And as a purchaser you should really always use paypal, completed via the ebay website, to give you the best protection. And never use paypal gift facility for purchases.
I know I cannot believe I did what I did, just a life lesson. Its just I have no luck with my car. First get hit by an uninsured driver, then when trying to get the parts this happens.
Its a good job I adore my car otherwise id of got rid by now.

Report it here. http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_fraud
if he had an ebay profile, you should be able to find his address and telephone number. report it to ebay, even though you sidestepped the process, as they may be able to help and also contact your bank at the very least to report it and lastly email his local police station (again to report / log it).
