I'll show you these once they're finished.
I'm nothing like Polsta, he builds tech 1's, I dismantle them.
Hopefully they clean up

Next step, prep, dye, get rid of the crazy paving effect, seal and fit.

Hopefully they clean upI've just given them another clean with some saddle soap, so that they are clean and conditioned. I've taken a sample swatch from the rear of the backrest, and it is much lighter. I'll send this off to the supplier and get the dye for the leather to match.

I'd be worried about dyeing, seen some horrific examples. Cream leather wouldn't be my cup of tea but should be a nice contrast to the vert!
Look forward to seeing them cleaned up!

I'm keeping it the same colour, so that's not going to be an issue. I've seen some results and the seats look brilliant. The people that have done this work seem to be very pleased.

If I were you I would look at liquidleather.com they match BMW colour according to colour codes. I used them to touch up my cardinal red.
Just used furniture clinic stuff on some carpets and the colour sample I sent them and the colour on the carpet is different....

Does liquid leather remove the cracking in the leather?

Thought I'd join this thread after doing a little bit of work on my Cabrio today. I have slowly been getting the car closer to the way BMW intended it to be and I have splashed out the proper size battery. It makes quite a difference to the look of the engine bay to have a quality item under there. Before I could fit that I had to sand back the rusty battery tray and treat with rust stopper. It has now been treated to a coat of hammerite. Last year I deleted the headlight wash system and have never been happy with still having the twin bottle so I have also replaced that with a single bottle. Whilst I was in that area I decided to have a go at cleaning up the paintwork in the bay as it was covered in a coat of yellowing wax. I don't know if this was from the factory or someone had done it but it was looking bad so I got a little scraper out then some cutting paste. It came out not bad but needs more detail to make it really good.

Just watched mine roll over the 200 000 mile mark!
Mot due end of the month
Just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
A fella had taken the car to the Fiat main dealer for its MOT and was in front of me in the queue.
He received his fail and left.
When I went out onto the forecourt he was still there shaking his head at the car.
Turned out he lived in a terraced house so had no where to take the car as it was out of MOT and had a month's tax left on it.
Negotiations started at £100 and I went off with the car for £70.
Took me about 3mths to put it right and cost me about £320 including tax and insurance to put it back on the road.
And here we are for the 8th year through the test
