Not exactly the same thing, but i did see a diagram for the e46 strut setup the other day and thought it looked remarkably simple, and must be a proven strong enough desight otherwise bmw wouldnt use it on millions of vehicles, it just doesnt look as strong as the e36 method where there are two bolts into the back of the hub and a pinch nut and bolt at 90 degrees too.
A nice neat solution, although like they say in the s14 thread, just needs someone to start making billet knuckles too. not so bad on 'normal' e30s i guess as there are still plenty of second hand struts floating about, but m3 struts are like hens teeth, and usually as expensive too!

They will be fine IF properly made from the right materials and properly fitted.
however, as it looks like thyre from taiwan i'd be a little dubious.
e46 uses a one bolt strut to hub fixing,
