Well ok, I won't be picking her up for a week or so, the guy is getting her MOT'd, serviced and valeted before I pick her up. It's white, on a G plate and cost the princely sum of Ԛ£500 :D

Just wanted to say hello before I head off to the technical section to correct the two minor faults. The sunroof only tilts at the moment and the central locking doesn't open or close the boot.

She's only going to be my daily driver, but I think I'll treat her to a quick Zymolling when I get her as I'm sure she deserves it 8)

Nice car :thumb:

Welcombe to the zone from the team!
You've made an excelant choice of car - timeless styling, practical and m-tec suspension as standard.
Sunroof will respond to a bit of dismantling, cleaning and lubrication, and central locking problem is probably just the lock motor. (Key slot's not in the dead lock position, is it?)

Thanks for the welcome :D

I suspect you're right about the sunroof, the original owner is a mate and an ex mechanic, he's throwing some cables in, just in case.

The tailgate is a throwback to a problem he had ages ago, the drivers door stuck and burnt out the solenoids. That's been fixed, but he didn't replace the tailgate one. Is it much of a job?

Solenoid is easy to change, but the clips holding the inner lining on the hatch are easy to break.

Bit worrying that the lock motors burnt out, as there's a thermal fuse inside the locking ECU that should prevent this.
These fuses sometimes get "modified" after they have tripped, and fires have been caused by this.
Worth checking out the ECU when you get the car.

 PH boys :) Yup, I found it..... And I've now got her in my sweaty paws. Can't believe it. Picked it up, went to the petrol station and some random stranger said "That's in good nick" and started chatting :)

This christmas I will mostly be applying Zymol :)

Nice car, looks kind of familiar! :)
I find the tow bar very useful when reverse parking.

Yes but only this morning! That sounds about right, can get up to 30ish on a long run. Bet you were loving the icy weather!

Hehehe - thought it might be about right...

Cheated and used the 316 in the ice and snow - not bothered if I put it in a hedge (which I didnt!)
