Confused. First ad is selling the motors, then there's an update stating pics?

They want £1500 for the e36, I'm tempted tbh.
Hes not prepared to share reg, vin numbers or V5 registration ref via email wants to wait until you go and see them, whats that all about!!!
Im staying clear, if he isnt really interested in providing that info what kind of seller is he?

Saw this yday would love to own the dolphin grey sport <3
Hi Ladies and Gents,
My Name is Ric and I have Been lurking about the forum for a while and this is my first post , I did not have anything of value to add before now so kept my mouth tightly shut ! But I have some info on these cars for you ..
I drove up to Blackburn to have a look at these after 5 phone calls to the owner , a bloke called Sam. He assured me that the cars were in good condition and that I could have my choice of the bunch if I made it up there for 09.30 on Wednesday the 1st of August.
He did tell me that the silver sport in the picture was being held for someone so I could not have that one. Which left me 5 to choose from !!
I got the reg numbers for the Diamond Black Sport reg : F904*** , HPI came back clear and a good spec from BMW , it only had 2 registered services according to the Service centre guy's at BMW in 1989 and then nothing recorded since then.
I also did a check on the Delfin Grey Sport : H63*** This one also came back clear with leather and electric roof as standard. Service centre also advised that this one had had 17 visits to the main dealer.
I arrived in Blackburn @ 09.00 after a 3 hour drive from Northampton with my tool box , trolley jack, filler magnet and a folded cardboard box to lie on..
First up was The Black sport with the Replica Alpina wheels , It was not at the blokes friends unit as he had taken it for its MOT so I met him at the MOT centre. At first glance it looked good but on closer inspection the front and rear arches had seen better days and the paint was not original or great. Engine Bay looked good and lots of after-market bolt ons and nice leather. It failed it's MOT as it had a fuel leak on the manifold. ( Not very tidy and obviously needed body and engine work )
Second up was the Delfin Grey sport , original wheels etc , It had had it's MOT a couple of days before and I offered to drive it back from the MOT centre to see how it drove. First off the battery was dead and needed a booster pack ,nice leather but missing dash trim under the steering wheel. The owner told me that he had it somewhere. Drove this one back to the unit and I kept stalling it as the clutch travelled less than an inch from the floor between stand still and complete take off.( The owner tried to tell me this was normal but after owning 2 e-30’s I made up my own mind ) The engine sounded good though. I went round the car with the magnet and found a load of filler in the corner of the N/S skuttle plate being held in place by some duct tape and painted over. At this point I called Sam over and showed him the repair , he was a nice bloke but told me straight up that he had not inspected any of his cars that closely and had only bothered to properly check the running gear and engine on his cars before buying them. There was rust around the whole boot lid rubber and bubbling above both rear lights as well as the inner arches. The paint had been re-done poorly in some places and when I inspected the floor pan there was fresh gun gum covering a whole the size of a 50p coin. The driver’s side door was also completely rotten at the bottom where the door joins the kit.
( another car in need of serious work in my opinion )
The second Black sport in the pictures had apparently failed it’s MOT too and needed welding to the chassis under the rear seats and near the suspension.( I didn’t bother even asking to look at it )
At this stage I asked about the Silver one which was in the pictures and he told me then that it was a Cat C but he was sure the bloke was coming to collect it ..( Average paint job but I wasn’t interested once he had told me it was a cat C )
I then asked him about the Alpine white one he said he had the day before and was told he had sold this on to a friend.
He then proceeded to show me an extremely low sport Auto with what looked like TSW 5 spoke wheels , but I looked no further when I noticed the camber was pretty much different on each wheel. And I wasn’t really interested in an Auto.
So there you go , the 6 325i Sports for sale on e-bay as part of a collection , I noticed the only one that was actually sold was the Silver Cat C model. What I am about to say is just my personal opinion and I am not criticising anyone so use this and the above information as you please.
In my opinion none of these cars were collectors cars , but rather cars collected by a nice bloke who is hoping that they will be worth more than what he paid for them one day. If you are not fussy, are not interested in an original car and want to do the work that is required then I suppose 2.5k is not a lot to spend.
For me it was a wasted day and a load of cash on fuel ”¦

Thank-you ,
On the other hand if at least one of them was good I would have walked away with a bargain for 2.5k .. as usual if it looks too good to be true it usually is ...
After all , a man's got to dream ....
