Currently a 150 piece socket, bit and spanner set for £99.99 and flexi head ratchet spanners for £39.99.

I've got them both and can't recommend them highly enough. I got the socket set for £89.99 a while back as a portable set. Both come with a lifetime guarantee, but the ratchets in the spanners on both sets are not covered. They do sell repair kits for them.

Good gear at good prices!

I have a few bits and pieces from them, I don't really like having halfords written on my tools but they are very good quality, good price, and a lifetime guarentee, so you can't fault them. I have tested the guarentee and it works, I'm on my 3rd breaker bar, I dont know my own strength somtimes :D

I got in on the set that was reduced to £99 from £199.

Most of my friends in the trade, so there all Mac fanatics.

The abuse I got from them was eye watering

Lifetime guarentee is a bit of a con considering it doesn't cover moving parts!! Seriously, what goes wrong with a socket ?! Unless it's being used incorrectly in the first place. My 1/4 " ratchet broke on day one, and my Dad's 3/8" ratchet broke immediately too. The mechanism gets locked up and you have to free it using grips on the drive

Not when the products are already discounted.

I tried to buy the tool chests and the on-line/in store offer were better than the trade discount card.

I bought a 23mm ring spanner last week, rrp was £9.99 and the trade price was £5.99.

I don't think you get money off the sale prices though - unless I'm missing something.

If you're up for a blag, I've heard you can get yourself a trade card with little effort. Turn up in overalls smelling like old car, talk nicely to the man at the Parts counter and be creative. Job done.

Well worth the effort winkeye

If it's not the pro set, don't bother mate. You could spit pees through the cheap set and the drawers wouldn't hold a box of maltesers without warping.

Total Pants.

I did start off with something like this but quickly realised it was far too small and the drawers didn't couldn't accomodate larger items or heavy items.

Wished I hadn't wasted my time on them and had gone straight to the Halfords pro stuff - good locks, good drawers and if you are patient enough, you'll get a bottom cabinet and a 9 drawer chest for £250. No lifetime warranty but I've had no problems with mine.

Top Tip - apparently Snap On trade in old cabs for new ones and the best place to get a used cab is the local Snap on rep.
