Is it possible to swap the tilt mechanism from a knackered 2 door driver seat to a good 4 door seat?

Has anyone on here done it?

Or does anyone have a Grey/Black comfort driver seat in good nick that they want to sell

Cheers

Tilt mechanism is already on the four door seat. All it needs is the cable and lever to work kit, which are both part of the seat back.
If your existing seat back is serviceable, just swap it onto the four door base, or swap the fabric over if it's not.
The four door seat back has positions for the levers, but a couple of welded on parts are missing.

Yeah the seat back is fine. I'll widen my search to 4 doors too then.

Cheers for that Brian

I did this very conversion - sports seats are hard to get in Australia and I found a mint 4 door pair.
I butchered a set of comfort seats for the cables and pulleys as Brian suggests.
Once you get the backs of the seats it all becomes obvious and only takes a couple of hours.
I didn't weld mine - used rivets and it has stood the test for over 3 years now.
There is a post somewhere on this topic - will see if I can dig it out
